SUVs are all the rage right now in the Ventura, Camarillo, and Oxnard area. So many drivers have made the switch, as these vehicles offer a smooth drive like a sedan but extra capability like a truck, giving you the best of both worlds. Two of the most popular models on the streets are the Range Rover and Land Cruiser, but which one do you choose?
To assist in this exciting process, Land Rover Ventura has created this handy Range Rover vs. Land Cruiser comparison. Which one will come out on top in this head-to-head? Let’s get started and find out!
2019 Range Rover vs 2019 Land Cruiser: Performance & Power
At the heart of every SUV is a configuration that provides you with the drive you deserve. While both of these models offer supreme power, there are some differences to take note of.
Under the hood of the Toyota Land Cruiser, you’ll find the 5.7L V8 engine. This is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and provides a good amount of strength generating up to 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. However, the Land Cruiser is only available in one trim with one engine, so there is no chance of choice or upgrades.
On the other hand, the Range Rover offers six trims and a whopping six engines to choose from. While the base powertrain is similar to the Land Cruiser, you can gain an exorbitant amount of power with the available 5.0L V8 supercharged engine. This boasts a highly impressive 557 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, which blows the Toyota model out of the water.
Range Rover vs Land Cruiser: Technology & Connectivity
High-end tech is important in an SUV and luckily enough, these two deliver. Though, one may leave you wanting a little more.
Standardly in the 2019 Ranger Rover, you will find the Touch Pro™ Duo infotainment system. This includes two 10-inch high-definition touchscreens to keep you thoroughly connected and entertained on the road. Here, you can simultaneously access two systems at once from your choice of navigation, InControl® Apps, your phone, and much more. You will also receive Bluetooth® capability, voice control, a 4G Wi-Fi Hotspot, and a 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display. This is all just on the standard model.
The Land Cruiser also comes with an advanced infotainment system—the Entune™. This is equipped with Bluetooth® capability, as well and gives you streamlined access to your phone, navigation, and apps like the Range Rover does. Unlike the Range Rover, it offers only one screen and it comes in smaller at nine inches. Wi-Fi is not available and the instrument panel, though still digital, clocks in at much smaller than the display in the Range Rover.
Range Rover vs Land Cruiser: Verdict
Both of these vehicles offer great features. When it comes to power and technology (among many other things), we think you’re going to love driving the 2019 Range Rover. Though you don’t have to take our word for it.
